Ottumwa Regional Health Center names two to board of trustees

OTTUMWA — Ottumwa Regional Health Center has appointed Zenna Boyd and David Suarez to its board of trustees.
Boyd, originally from Milton and a resident of Ottumwa since 2004, is the human resources director at JBS. She has more than 20 years of leadership experience in workforce development, strategic operations and community engagement, and is a U.S. Army Reserve veteran. Boyd is active in several local boards and committees, including GOPIP and the Southeast Iowa JBS Sports Center board.
Suarez, a native of Ecuador, is bilingual community development manager at Community 1st Credit Union. He has worked extensively with immigrant and underserved populations, building partnerships with more than 20 organizations and securing over $3 million in federal grants for financial education and inclusion. He serves on the board of Iowa WINs and was named “Man of the Year” by the League of United Latin American Citizens in 2018.
Hospital leaders said both appointees bring valuable experience and connections that will help strengthen ORHC’s work in the community.
