Ottumwa Regional Health Center Welcomes First Baby of 2026

Ottumwa, IA (January 6, 2026) – Ottumwa Regional Health Center (ORHC) is ringing in 2026 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 9 pounds and 3 ounces and measuring 21.5 inches, Sycomore was born to Chimene Ngalula Muamba and Mfuti on Thursday, January 1st at 9:24am.

Ottumwa Regional Health Center Women’s Center is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care close to home for new and expecting parents across the region. The Center offers prenatal care, Pediatric Physician on-call 24/7, Mid-Wife program, private spacious patient rooms, soft C-section, Whirlpool tub, new parent dinner, lactation specialists.
