“I kind of just hope that it helps people that may be in a harder spot or might be going through something hard to just be able to look at something a appreciate it and see something that maybe could just help someone have a better day.”
The partnership was developed to showcase students’ talents. Connecting with the community in a space of hope and healing.
While art teacher Tina Hamberg guides students throughout their artwork. Many students are happy to be able to share their creations.
“It’s not something normally that I would do or like imagine myself doing but since she like put it in I was like it’s really cool.” said art student Madison Countryman.
Director Raquel Alderman said the partnership was a great opportunity when redoing the lobby.
“It’s soothing you know when you come to the hospital you don’t expect to see artwork like this.”
Artwork in the lobby will change throughout the year. Giving more students a chance to see their impact.
Alderman said the hospital lobby is just the start of what they hope to grow in the community.
