According to the release, the potential exposure site was at Pizza Ranch on Venture Drive on Friday, Aug. 14 between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., bringing the number of cases in the state to 16. HHS officials say anyone who was at that location at that time should monitor for measles symptoms, which include:

• Fever
• Cough
• Runny nose
• Red or watery eyes

• A rash starting from the face or hairline and going down the body.

Officials say they’re working with local public health agencies and affected families to identify illnesses. If you suspect someone has measles, call your doctor’s office or the emergency room before visiting to confirm next steps. People who are unvaccinated, young or old risk catching the highly contagious airborne virus.
