OTTUMWA, IA (June 18, 2026) — Ottumwa Regional Health Center (ORHC), in partnership with the Regional Service Guild, proudly awarded five outstanding Ottumwa High School seniors — Lorvia Marius, Marlene Reyes, Diana Ruiz, Alondra Ruiz, and Marina Reyes — each a $1,000 scholarship through the Ottumwa Hy Noon Kiwanis Scholarship Program. The awards were presented during the Kiwanis Luncheon held at Hotel Ottumwa last month.
ORHC CEO Richard Bergmann, CNO Jessica Kendrick, and Director of Marketing & Communications Raquel Alderman joined community members in celebrating these exceptional students as they prepare to pursue careers in nursing.
“We were thrilled to celebrate these five outstanding Ottumwa High School seniors,” said Bergmann. “These students are stepping into healthcare with purpose, compassion, and a genuine commitment to caring for others. We are proud to support their journey and excited to see the impact they will make in the years ahead.”
The scholarship recipients — Lorvia, Marlene, Diana, Alondra, and Marina — were recognized for their academic achievement, dedication to service, and passion for entering the nursing profession. Their enthusiasm and drive inspired everyone in attendance.
“These remarkable students represent the bright future of healthcare in our community,” said Kendrick. “Their dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families.”
