Honors 20 Nurses as Spring 2026 DAISY Award Nominees

OTTUMWA, IOWA (March 31, 2026) – Ottumwa Regional Health Center (ORHC), is proud to recognize 20 outstanding nurses as nominees for the Spring 2026 DAISY Award, celebrating their compassion, clinical excellence, and dedication to patient care.

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program that honors and celebrates the extraordinary care nurses provide every day. Established by the The DAISY Foundation, the award recognizes nurses who go above and beyond to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

“These nominations reflect the incredible impact our nurses have on patients and our community,” said CEO, Richard Bergmann. “We are proud to celebrate their commitment, compassion, and the difference they make every day.”

At ORHC, patients, families, and colleagues are encouraged to nominate nurses who demonstrate exceptional skill and heartfelt care. Each nomination tells a story of how a nurse made a lasting impression during a patient’s healthcare journey.

Two DAISY Award recipients will be announced during a special ceremony on Wednesday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. in Classroom A at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. The event will honor all nominees and celebrate the vital role nurses play in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

“We are incredibly proud of all our nominees,” said Chief Nursing Officer, Jessica Kendrick. “Their dedication and compassion truly embody what the DAISY Award represents.”
