OTTUMWA — Ottumwa Regional Health Center has partnered with the Cardinal High School Art Department to launch a rotating art exhibit featuring student work in the hospital’s main lobby.

The initiative is designed to bring color and creativity into a space of healing while celebrating the talents of local youth. A selection of Cardinal High School student artwork is now on display and will be rotated throughout the year, giving more students the opportunity to share their work with the public.

“We’re honored to partner with Cardinal High School to highlight the artistic talents of their students,” said Raquel Alderman, ORHC’s director of marketing and communications. “Their creativity adds color and warmth to our environment—and reminds us of all of the strength and spirit within our community.”

Art teacher Tina Hamberg said her students are excited to see their work in such a meaningful, public space.

“This partnership not only encourages them artistically but helps them see the impact their work can have on others,” she said.

The project is part of ORHC’s broader effort to support schools, strengthen community partnerships, and foster a welcoming environment for patients and families.
