ORHC Receives Renewal of CARF Accreditation

In 2017 the ORHC Acute Rehabilitation Unit was surveyed by Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and once again received an unconditional accreditation for a three year period. This year the accreditation also included the stroke specialty certification, recognizing the exceptional work of the staff on the unit helping to maximize the quality of life of persons who have sustained a stroke and begin their recovery on the unit.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows ORHC’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the patients served.

CARF accreditation shows that ORHC has met very stringent quality standards and is recognized internationally.
