Today, The Ottumwa School District welcomed in 20 new teachers to the area. To help them get acquainted with the Ottumwa area, the school district had a “Teachers’ Road Rally,” a scavenger hunt of sorts around town. Ottumwa Regional was on one of their stops. The activity this morning for the new teachers was to throw glue sticks, erasers, and pencils into a bed pan; what they threw in the bed pan, they got to keep for their class room this year. At the end of the rally, ORHC donated the rest of the pencils, glue sticks and erasers that were left over to the new teachers. Welcome to the area!!!
